Hangoló (Tuning In) – a premiere of a kids' play at Kabóca Puppet Theater

On April 6, 2025, Kabóca Puppet Theater will present its latest puppet theater performance, Hangoló (Tuning), which invites the youngest kids and their parents to discover the art and playfulness of learning to speak and making their first sounds.

The basis of human communication is speech, a process that begins at a very early age. But what happens when speech is still in its infancy? How are the first sounds produced, and how does the environment influence imitation? What makes this performance special is that the actors use only their physicality, their facial expressions, and simple sounds to create a magical world in which even the youngest kids can become active participants in the experience.

After the performance, we invite the audience to play freely: kids and their parents can experiment together with the techniques they saw during the performance – or they can just play freely, as the moment inspires them. The performance is directed by Anna Markó-Valentyik, winner of the Junior Prima Award, who is also the production's designer. The dramaturg is Viktória Szántó, and the composer is Julcsi Paár. The cast includes Dániel Czéh and Nadin Szakács. The performance of Hangoló is recommended for kids aged 1 and up.
