For nearly three decades, Kabóca Puppet Theater has been a key player in the cultural life of Veszprém and the surrounding region. Its mission is to support kids' development through experiential theater education that conveys meaningful values, while providing a creative space for families to share experiences together. Now you too can be part of this mission: donate 1% of your personal income tax to Kabóca Puppet Theater and support the cultural education of future generations.
Kabóca's performances do more than just entertain— they contribute to to kids' emotional, social, and cognitive development. Throughout the season, the company presents a range of productions—to contemporary performances—and often their parents as well. The shared theatrical experience not only educates but also brings people together: it helps families connect with one another, in learning through play, and in sparking conversations about the world after each performance. Donating 1% of one’s taxes is a form of support that entails no additional cost to the taxpayer, yet it can provide tremendous assistance to a nonprofit cultural institution. Kabóca Puppet Theater allocates every donated forint to the development of kids' and youth programs, equipment purchases, the creation of new performances, and to ensure access to the theater for disadvantaged kids.
Kabóca not only produces performances, but also regularly organizes community events, festivals, professional workshops, and awareness-raising programs. The theater considers it important to reach those who have fewer opportunities to participate in cultural experiences— whether they are children living in small towns or audience members with special educational needs.
